Sieg in Bocholt

Mit 34 Wasserratten aus den Jahrgängen 1997 und jünger fuhren die Wfr. Atlantis Lembeck am vergangenen Wochenende zum 18. Bocholter Nachwuchsschwimmen. Souverän meisterten die kleinen und großen Schwimmer 25m und 50m Sprintstrecken und sorgten in der Halle für eine tolle Wettkampfatmosphäre.

Der Wettkampf diente für die älteren Wasserfreunde als Ausgleich für das Dorstener- Shortyschwimmen, welches aufgrund der langen Schließung des Hallenbad Wulfens leider ausfallen musste.

Zusätzlich bekam auch die Fördermannschaft der Lembecker mit Nadja Nisevic, Paula Samol, Ann-Christin Leiwering, Maja Lohbreyer, Steffen Mohnhaupt (alle 2003) und Cora-Helen Droste (2004) die Chance einmal Wettkampfluft zu schnuppern und zeigte sich gleich von ihrer besten Seite. Nadja und Ann-Christin konnten sich über 25m Freistil und Brust sogar an die Spitze ihres Jahrgangs setzen. Steffen wurde stolz Zweiter.

Im Gegensatz zu den Jüngeren, die noch sehr schüchtern an den Start gingen, sorgten die Älteren permanent für Stimmung und feuerten ihre Vereinskameraden aus vollen Kräften an. Neben guten Einzelleistungen zeigten die Altanten in den Staffeln Teamgeist.

Die „kleine Staffel“ mit Alicia Trockel, Antonia Alfes, Josephine Elwermann (alle 2002) und Steffen Mohnhaupt (2003) siegte dank der tollen Unterstützung ihrer Mannschaftskollegen haushoch.

Auch die „großen Staffeln“ erlangten sehr gute Platzierungen. In den Jahrgängen 2000/2001 wurden Anna Wolthaus, Markus Füllbier, Tim Gerling und Johanna Liesen dritter. Mandy Hinsken, Helen Marion Sherwood, Louis Droste und Johannes Gerwert wurden fünfte.

Besonders spannend waren die Staffeln der Jahrgänge 1997 bis 1999. Annika Füllbier, Maike Brüggemann, Nils Mohnhaupt und Nils Eichmann mussten sich knapp dem Bocholter WSV geschlagen geben und landeten auf Platz 2. Noch einen fünften Platz erschwammen Franziska Alfes, Benedikt Beeke, Sabrina Kaiser und Luisa Coen.

Mit dem Gesamtresultat waren Schwimmer und Trainer sehr zufrieden. Die Atlanten gingen am Ende mit 27 ersten, 24 zweiten und 17 dritten Plätzen als beste auswärtige Mannschaft aus dem Wettkampf. Stolz nahmen sie den goldenen Mannschaftspokal entgegen.
